About me and my practice

Therapy with me isn't about being fixed. It does ask something of you. You'll be invited to be both vulnerable and accountable, and at times the work may feel uncomfortable, but never unsafe or rushed. My role isn't to give you answers, but to help you gently get to the heart of what's really going on. The most meaningful and lasting change often comes from the realisations you arrive at yourself, with the right support alongside you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your pace and experience. You'll be met with empathy, curiosity, and no pressure to be anywhere other than where you are. When its helpful, I bring in practical, solution-focussed ways of working to help you notice patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and to explore small, meaningful changes that feel supportive and achievable.

Relationships are often at the heart of therapy. Together, we might explore how you relate to others, how you relate to yourself, and how past experiences may still be influencing the present. This can include looking at boundaries, needs, communication, and emotional patterns, with the aim of building deeper connection, trust, and self-understanding.

Experience

I work with adults navigating relationships, identity, communication, and emotional overwhelm - whether this shows up in family dynamics, friendships, work, or dating. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck or uncertain about how to move forward, either within themselves or in their relationships.

Others are carrying grief or trauma, or are trying to redefine who they are after loss, major life transitions, or years of putting others first. I also have experience supporting adults processing historic childhood sexual abuse, historic sexual trauma, and loss, including the loss of a loved one, a sense of safety, or a version of yourself.

I offer an affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients, particularly those navigating identity, belonging, boundaries, or self-acceptance.

Whether youre carrying old wounds, struggling to express your needs, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply and invest in your emotional wellbeing, therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and move forward in a way that feels more authentic and grounded.

Initial Consultation

If you are interested in working with me, please contact me via email. We can have a discussion about the therapeutic process, making sure it aligns with your needs and expectations. I offer a complimentary 15-minute call, which is an opportunity for us to become acquainted, explore your previous therapy experiences, address any concerns you may have, and ascertain whether working together is the right fit before booking the first session.

Fees

Counselling sessions typically extend for 50 minutes and are generally scheduled on a weekly basis. I also provide extended sessions at the following rates:

Standard weekly session 50 minutes - £60

Concession sessions (trainees and low-income LGBTQ+ clients) 50 minutes - £30

Standalone session 90 minutes - £100
For times when you want dedicated space to step back and make sense of a specific issue, I offer a limited number of one-off 90-minute sessions.
I offer both short- and long-term therapy options. There is no predetermined maximum session limit, as the number of sessions required will be determined collaboratively and adjusted as needed to reflect your progress and evolving therapeutic needs.
